Welcome to The Ohio State University's Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center!

The Center’s mission is to promote and provide high quality clinical education and reliable assessment of skills and procedures, with the ultimate intent being to advance patient care. The Center allows Ohio State to expand existing programs, launch new instructional techniques, and employ new outcomes assessments with the goal of training competent, compassionate professionals while fostering educational research.

The Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center is the only simulation center in the state of Ohio to be endorsed by the American Society for Anesthesiologists  to offer simulation training courses that fulfill one requirement of MOCA Part 4. The upcoming 2015 course dates are: February 27, February 28, March 13, and April 18.  You can register for a course at https://ccme.osu.edu/.

 

The Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center has joined with The Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery to become one of the inaugural Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery testing sites in the United State.

The Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery program is a comprehensive educational and assessment tool designed to teach and evaluate the fundamental knowledge, clinical judgment and technical skills required in the performance of basic gastrointestinal(GI) endoscopic surgery(endoscopy).  For more information about testing center hours and availability, please contact Lisa Lawrence @ 614.293.7399
