The
Ohio State University Medical Center’s Department of Radiology,
in conjunction with the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and the
Richard J. Solove Research Institute, seek a Director of Breast
Imaging. Interested candidates should be board certified and fellowship
trained in breast imaging, have an interest in teaching and research,
possess outstanding training, and have experience as a leader
with a national reputation in breast imaging. Experience with
PACS and digital systems is also desired.
The Comprehensive Breast Program is recognized as one of the
very best breast programs in the country. As a component of the
James Cancer Hospital, the program is actively involved in local
research and national research studies. The program is one of
the larger sites for the STAR trials. The Program has the only
comprehensive, free-standing, dedicated Breast Center in Ohio.
The Breast Center has approximately 24,000 visits annually. The
Center is open five days a week, eight hours a day and provides
radiology, surgical oncology and medical oncology services.
The Comprehensive Breast Center contracts with the
Department of Radiology for breast imaging services. Breast imaging
has the following equipment: One digital mammography unit, three
conventional mammographic units, two ultrasound rooms, and one stereotactic
unit. Mammography is performed at several other sites throughout
the system. Typically, a surgical oncologist and medical oncologist
are available on site.
