Greetings from the OSU College of Medicine
Since joining the College as dean in 2005, I have had the great pleasure of
meeting and talking with many of you about where your professional careers have taken you since your medical training at Ohio State, as well as the progress the College is making to prepare our current students for their future careers in medicine.
Ohio State’s medical alumni network is one of the largest in the world, with over 12,000 members. Building on the foundation you have helped us lay, we are working hard to propel Ohio State’s College of Medicine into the top 20 medical schools in the nation. We know it won’t be easy, but with a strong faculty, an innovative curriculum and supportive alumni and donors, we know we can excel, and even surpass, this expectation. We have already made great strides in rising from 44th in the 2003 US News & World Report rankings of America’s best medical schools to 30th in the 2009 rankings.
I look forward to meeting many of you at future alumni gatherings, and ask that you consider what you can do to help us achieve our goal in becoming one of the nation’s top academic medical and research institutions in the nation. Please feel free to contact me or our alumni affairs staff if we can help you in any way.
Thank you for your continuing support.
GO BUCKS!
