Women in White Coats

On April 15, more than 70 medical students and alumnae gathered at the Ross Heart Hospital Auditorium for the eighth annual Women in White Coats Event.  Women in White Coats (formerly “Girls ‘Night Out”) had a new title in 2011 and with that a renewed interest and format.    The event, which is co-sponsored with the Women in Medicine special interest group, WIWC allows medical students the opportunity to meet in a casual, small-group setting to ask women physicians from the Columbus area questions related to their academic and professional experiences and expertise.  A special thanks to the following women physicians for sharing their insights and experiences with our medical students: Drs. Charlotte Agnone ’90, Mary Beth Cass ’79, Holly Cronau ’85, Kelly Fleming 04, Emily Ferguson, Mary Beth Fontana ’66, Susan Hubbell ’76, Anne Klamar ’90, Irene Koesters ’01, Anne Littleton ’87, Eileen Maher ’81, Mary McIlroy ’85, Autumn O’Brien ’95, Sarah Sams ’91, Linda Stone ’79, Anne Taylor ’90, and Claire Wolfe ’68.
