Transportation and Parking

55th Annual Medical Alumni Reunion Weekend > Transportation and Parking

Transportation and Parking Guide for September 5-7, 2008

Shuttle Service Schedule

The shuttle service will run Friday and Saturday between the Hyatt on Capitol Square
(Town Street Entrance) and the College of Medicine's home, Meiling Hall.

The shuttle pick-up and drop-off location at the Hyatt will be outside of the Town Street exit. On the first floor, take the hallway past the escalators (not the elevators) and continue past the following rooms: Judicial, Senate and Congressional Rooms. After you pass the doors to the Congressional Room, you should see a door to the outside on Town Street. The shuttle will be waiting for you on Town Street with a sign in the window notating Medical Alumni Reunion Shuttle. If you are unsure where to go, please ask at the front desk.

Friday, September 5
HYATT to Meiling Hall:  10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.
MEILING to the Hyatt:  11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m.

Class of 1958 Recognition Lunch:
The luncheon will be held in the Medical Heritage Center in the John A. Prior Health Sciences Library, which is directly behind Meiling Hall, on W. 10th Ave.

Valet parking is available in front of Rhodes Hall (south entrance). We suggest use of the Ross Heart Hospital garage, which is the closest parking garage, or the 12th Avenue garage. Please visit this link for directions to these garages.

Due to the location being so close to Meiling Hall, no special arrangements will be made. If you are handicapable and do need assistance, please contact our office at (614) 292-2671. We'll be happy to help!

Saturday, September 6
Football shuttles are suggested for those guests who are not able to make the walk to Ohio Stadium. The shuttles will drop passengers off as close to the stadium as OSU Traffic & Parking is able to get the shuttles. Please keep in mind, the shuttles will not be able to drop passengers off right in front of an Ohio Stadium gate.

The drop-off and pick-up location for the Ohio University game will be the same as in 2007, which is in the Neil Avenue Garage Loop. The Loop is south-east of the RPAC, just west of (behind) the Psychology Building and Lazenby Hall, and south of Cunz Hall.

Pre-game
HYATT to Meiling Hall:       7:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m.
MEILING to the stadium:    11:00 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m.

Post-game
Bus riders should expect delays after the game due to game day traffic.

Three shuttle busses will run continuous circuits between the Ohio Stadium drop-off location, Meiling Hall and the Hyatt on Capitol Square, until approximately one and a half (1.5) hours after the game has ended.
