About the Program

 
The Biomedical Science major is for students who have an interest in participating in medical research as an undergraduate student and plan to pursue graduate education.  As a student in this major, you could spend 1-4 years working with one of the OSU medical research teams. 

Students in the Biomedical Science major

are encourage  to explore a variety of career

opportunities in the sciences.  You can take classes such as anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience while working in a research lab and volunteering at one of the OSU hospitals.
 
These experiences, along with regular advising from our faculty and staff, will help you determine the type of career you wish to pursue.  If you have a strong interest in a career in science, the determination and drive to take on a challenging undergraduate experience, and a high school record that will make you eligible for the OSU honors program, please visit the Biomedical Science major to learn if this is the right place for you.
