3rd Year Medical Students work on advancing their blood drawing skills in the Procedures Laboratory portion of the Center.

The design for the center, located in 005 John Prior Health Sciences Library, includes:

  • 8,100 square feet
  • 14 patient encounter rooms, equipped with ceiling-mounted cameras
  • High technology simulators and equipment
  • Procedures training area
  • Wireless environment allowing ready access for PDA’s and laptops
  • Digital recording systems
  • Standardized Patient lounge area
  • Swipe card system to identify trainee and initiate audio-video operations
  • Electronic monitoring stations with touch panel function
  • One-way glass panel and headset outside each exam room
  • On-site and off-site observation of trainee patient encounters
  • Administrative Offices
