Faculty Teaching Scholars Certificate Program

Faculty Teaching Scholars Certificate Program

The OSU College of Medicine is committed to cultivating, recognizing and rewarding excellence in teaching. The Center for Education and Scholarship (CES) offers the Faculty Teaching Scholars Certificate Program, designed to meet the professional development needs of faculty who are committed to a significant career investment in health sciences education.

This program provides formal training in teaching and learning, curriculum and instruction, assessment, leadership, and educational scholarship development. Participants will meet as a group for two 2-hour meetings each month. In consultation with the CES team, participants will be required to complete an educational project that will result in a presentation and poster suitable for submission at a professional meeting or publication in a professional journal.

On November 16th, the Center for Education and Scholarship (CES) honored its graduating Class of Faculty Teaching Scholars 2011 at the annual "Celebration of Educational Scholarship."  Twelve faculty received pins and Certificates for completing all scholarly requirements of the program, including presentation of their Education Research projects. The CES team invites all faculty to join them in congratulating this year's Scholars:
