Faculty Teaching Scholars Certificate Program
The OSU College of Medicine is committed to cultivating, recognizing and rewarding excellence in teaching. The Center for Education and Scholarship (CES) offers the Faculty Teaching Scholars Certificate Program, designed to meet the professional development needs of faculty who are committed to a significant career investment in health sciences education.
This program provides formal training in teaching and learning, curriculum and instruction, assessment, leadership, and educational scholarship development. Participants will meet as a group for two 2-hour meetings each month. In consultation with the CES team, participants will be required to complete an educational project that will result in a presentation and poster suitable for submission at a professional meeting or publication in a professional journal. APPLICATIONS are accepted annually in July.
On September 7th, the Center for Education and Scholarship welcomed its newest Class of Faculty Teaching Scholars 2012. This year's 2011-12 cohort of 16 Scholars includes a pilot of four additional Fellow Teaching Scholars.
