David Irby, PhD, Senior Scholar and Co-Director of the Carnegie Foundation’s
Study of Medical Education, co-author of the 2010 book Educating Physicians:
A Call for Reform of Medical School and Residency (Cooke, Irby, O’Brien) and
Vice Dean for Education at UCSF will be the plenary speaker for the 4th annual CES Spring Symposium.

Agenda
The agenda for the day is to engage in development of fundamental skills for the Lead.Serve.Inspire
curriculum, reflect on the call for reform of medical education, and engage small group discussions of
questions facing the implementation teams.
