In March 2010, the College of Medicine implemented an
OSU:pro Pros program to provide each department with a primary point of
contact who would receive more in-depth training in OSU:pro. The Pros
are charged with being the first line of technical assistance to their
department's faculty and staff, and to help craft and relay department-specific
standards for entering data into OSU:pro.
These pages provide the contact list of departmental OSU:pro Pros
and also transmit information discussed at Pros feedback sessions.
In June 2010 a task force completed a set of guidelines:
OSUpro Standardization for COM.docx for standardizing dossier entry into Pro. These guidelines are intended to assist faculty and staff when the question "where do I put this?" arises.
OSU
:pro is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the faculty. Updates
are released on a quarterly basis. Please check http://pro.osu.edu
for information pertaining to these updates. You may also register for a
training session there.
OSU:pro
is the tool used by Ohio State faculty to manage the documentation of their
academic careers. Most notably, it is used to create the dossier that faculty
will use to apply for promotion and/or tenure. Faculty may also use its custom
CV tool. Furthermore, Departments, Divisions, Centers and Institutes can use
its reporting tools to produce annual and snapshot reports of their faculty
members' scholarly activities.
