Program of Research in Driving Excellence (P.R.I.D.E.)

This broad-based program is designed to promote driving excellence through research.   The older driver database which has been developed in the Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology holds enormous potential for gleaning valuable information on older drivers.  To date, a number of studies have been conducted to identify the best predictors of drivings ability, the implications of driving cessation, pharamaceuticl studies, and the correlation between on-the-road driving performance and driving simulation testing outcomes.  If you have an interest in this or a related area of study, and would like to know more about the database and how you might incorporate it into your work, please feel free to contact Dr. Bonnie S.
