Amy Darragh Represents Occupational Therapists on National Safe Patient Handling Work Group 

 

Amy Darragh, PhD, OTR/L, an Assistant Professor in the Division of Occupational Therapy, has been selected to represent the American Occupational Therapy Association on the American Nurses Association Safe Patient Handling National Standards Working Group. The group includes key stakeholders and is tasked with developing national standards for safe patient handling and movement programs. Dr. Darragh is a leader in field and has published widely on the topic.

Amy Darragh, PhD, OTR/L, is representing AOTA on the American Nurses Association Safe Patient Handling National Standards Working Group Summit. The purpose of the workgroup is to develop a set of national, multidisciplinary standards for safe patient handling
and movement programs across multiple settings (e.g., hospitals, long-term-care facilities, home health care agencies).
