Drs. Jane Case-Smith and Stephen Page traveled with School of Health and Rehabilitation Science PhD Students Andrew Persch, Kelly Tanner, and Lindy Weaver to the First Annual Occupational Science Summit at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. The summit is intended to be an annual gathering of both established and emerging scientists with a focus on addressing research related challenges facing occupational therapy. Dr. Page presented his work on mental practice as an intervention strategy for individuals following stroke. Dr. Case-Smith shared her research conducted during the Write-Start handwriting trial. The students presented research on handwriting, early signs of autism, and pediatric care coordination.
