- Established in 1996, the Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research is the cornerstone of a broad research program at Ohio State into the realm of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI)  the study of how the brain interacts with the body's immune system.

For more than a quarter-century, scientists here have led an effort that has moved this area of study from a novel curiosity to an important scientific field, one that has great implications for public health and great promise for enhancing medical treatments. more>
