Advancing Knowledge through Research Across the Medical Center Research in the Department of Internal Medicine is conducted in a number of clinical and laboratory centers, including the Clinical Research Center, the Wiseman Hall Animal Facility, and the Medical Research Facility. Clinical facilities include The Ohio State University Medical Center (OSUMC), with 923 licensed beds, including the University Hospitals, the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, OSU Hospitals East, and the soon-to-be-completed Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.
