Marsh To Serve on Battelle Advisory Board 6/14/2007 COLUMBUS, Ohio – Dr. Clay B. Marsh , director of the Center for Critical Care at the Ohio State University Medical Center and division director of pulmonary, allergy, critical care and sleep medicine, has been selected to serve on the External Advisory Board of the Battelle Memorial Institute’s Biology and Health Science Initiative.
The advisory board will provide clinical insight into diagnostic and therapeutic needs in pulmonary disease, as well as scientific expertise in the areas of biomarker discovery, genetics of disease and relevant technologies.
Battelle recently started the new initiative in biology and health science with a specific focus on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Marsh will collaborate with Battelle researchers to enhance and integrate several projects focusing on pulmonary biology and its medical impacts.
Other advisory board members include Michael Blackburn, professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Texas Medical School; Stephen Brenner, vice president of molecular biosciences at Bristol-Myers Squibb; Leroy Hood, president of the Institute for Systems Biology and a member of the National Academy of Sciences; Gilbert Omenn, professor of internal medicine, human genetics and public health at the University of Michigan.
