Research Interests
My primary research interests involve the study of quantitative models and methods for the analysis of data collected in psychological research. I am active in both methodological and applied research programs.

In the area of methodology, I am most interested in models and methods for the study of correlational data, especially factor analysis, structural equation modeling, and multilevel modeling. Of particular interest is the use of such methods for the analysis of longitudinal data, with a focus on individual differences in patterns of change over time.

I am also very active in an interdisciplinary research program in the field of psychoneuroimmunology, investigating relationships among brain, behavior, and autonomic, endocrine, and immune systems. A focus of many of our studies is the effect of stress on autonomic, endocrine, and immune function. New projects will investigate effects of stress on wound-healing. My role in these projects generally involves the application of sophisticated data analysis methods to data collected in these studies.
