Faculty & Their Research
The 12 faculty members who actively participate in our training program represent five departments (Molecular Virology, Immunology & Medical Genetics; Microbiology; Psychiatry; Internal Medicine; and Oral Biology) in three different colleges (Medicine and Public Health, Biological Sciences, and Dentistry) at the University. In January 1996, The Ohio State University established the Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research to serve as a focus for researchers in this field of study. The training faculty are part of a well-funded, productive research group, consisting of a number of investigators who have collaborated with each other for many years. Our program faculty foster, and will continue to foster, interdisciplinary collaborations that integrate basic immunology research with research on the neuro/endocrine/immune axis and behavior/stress.
