Life In Columbus

Columbus is a rapidly growing city with a population of over I million in the greater metropolitan area. The city offers a variety of cultural and recreational opportunities and has its own symphony orchestra and ballet company. Plays are presented by touring companies during the summer months, and the Ohio Theater offers splendid entertainment the year round. In addition to the sporting events centered on the University, such as football and basketball, Columbus also has its own professional baseball, hockey, and soccer teams. Ohio has many beautiful state and national parks for camping, hiking, boating, and swimming, and the mountains are just 2 hours away by car. Columbus has a wide seasonal temperature range with warm, sometimes humid, summers and moderately cold winters with varying amounts of snowfall.
