College of Medicine Seeking Curriculum Task Force Leaders and Members

The 2012 Curriculum Design Team is nearing the end of its work and a group of implementation task forces have been developed to begin the work of putting this innovative curriculum in place. The new curriculum will be formally launched with the class that enters in August of 2012; the College of Medicine anticipates piloting parts of the curriculum before that time. Dr. Dan Clinchot will be the senior leader in charge of curriculum implementation. Sorabh Khandelwal MD and Doug Post PhD will head the clinical sciences implementation task force; Dale Vandre PhD and Susan Moffatt-Bruce MD PhD will lead the foundational sciences implementation task force; Cynthia Ledford MD and Jennifer Burgoon PhD will lead the evaluation and assessment task force. The search for leaders for the two remaining task forces (faculty recruitment and development and communication) is underway.

The College is looking for task force members to serve on these implementation groups as well as for team leaders for faculty development and communication. If you are interested in shaping the future of medical education here at Ohio State, please email Dr. Catherine Lucey with a statement of your interest and your CV.The College is looking for faculty with a passion for education, whether or not they are currently involved in an educational leadership position in the College of Medicine.
