Dr. Catherine Lucey, vice dean for education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and associate vice president for health sciences education, has been named chair-elect of the American Board of Internal Medicine’s Board of Directors, whose mission is to improve health care quality. Lucey was elected for her innovation in education, as she has created new programs to teach physicians how to discover and prevent medical error, as well as new strategies to provide physicians with skills necessary for excellent health care.
