Thirty-four OSU staff members were chosen out of 221 applicants to receive Ohio State University’s 2010 Office of Human Resources-administered grants. Among the recipients, 12 are members of the OSU Medical Center.
Thanks to the University Staff Advisory Committee’s donation of $5,000, this year’s recipients nearly tripled the number of recipients over past years.
“USAC’s generous contribution absolutely made a difference,” said Michele Bondurant, manager of special events in OHR and purveyor of the grants. “And it shows staff are willing to support one another’s goals of improving personal careers, which in turn helps bring the university from excellence to eminence.
Staff Career Development Grants (maximum $500 each) are awarded each year to assist eligible Ohio State staff members with education and training costs associated with the pursuit of professional development and career goals. Grants may be awarded for expenses such as registration fees, tuition fees, textbooks, childcare expenses, job search/outplacement expenses, and transportation.
Congratulations to all.
