Scientists
at The Ohio State University College of Medicine have recently been awarded
funding from the United States Department of Defense for burn wound treatment
research. Professor and vice chair
for research in Ohio State’s Department of Surgery, Chandan Sen, along with
other clinical researchers from the Comprehensive Wound Care Center and the
Dorothy M. Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute, received the two-year, $1.4
million grant to be used to study brown algae and its benefits in treating burn
