The College of Medicine's Center for Education and Scholarship will host another monthly faculty Teaching Skills session on Wednesday, October 19th, from Noon - 1:00pm in The James, Room 518-A. This session, "LEVERAGING VIDEO TRIGGERS TO DESIGN ENGAGING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES,” will be presented by Bryan Martin, DO, John Mahan, MD and Larry Hurtubise, MA. Video Triggers are a powerful tool for education. It is one of the few medium which addresses most communication styles and learning domains. This is a “how to” workshop which will use an open discussion of video vignettes to raise awareness of effective uses of video in education. We shall demonstrate the use of video clips to create an exciting, relevant teaching moment. The audience will gain the knowledge and experience to use novels methods within their didactic programs.
There is no fee for the session, but Registration is appreciated. Feel free to bring your lunch! Call or eMail Karla.Vick@osumc.edu at (614) 292-0018 with any questions.
