OSUMC Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Diversity Network Established This Month

On the occasion of National Coming Out Day (October 11th), we are proud to announce the formation of The Ohio State University Medical Center's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Diversity Network.  The OSU Medical Center’s Diversity Council, as part of its goal to create an environment that thrives and benefits from the similarities and differences of each individual, has supported the formation of Diversity Networks, defined as self-determined associations of faculty and staff organized around a specific diversity dimension.  The LGBT Diversity Network is the first Diversity Network recognized by the Medical Center, established to support the Council's mission by providing a forum for personal and professional development, sponsoring activities that foster a LGBT-inclusive culture at OSUMC and across the university, and providing a mechanism for increasing outreach and engagement with the central Ohio LGBT community .

The LGBT Diversity Network meetings will be held on the last Tuesday of every month, the next on Tuesday, October 25 from 5:30-6:30pm in the Ross Auditorium.  For more information, please email lgbt@osumc.edu or visit https://onesource.osumc.edu/departments/diversity/Pages/default.aspx.  The diversity network is open to all, including straight allies!
