The annual Second Look Weekend event kicked off on Friday, April 20 and brought accepted medical students from around the country to The Ohio State University for an opportunity to visit campus and explore the world of the OSU College of Medicine student.
Excitement was in the air as the 90 accepted students arrived on campus to explore all the opportunities available at Ohio State to aid in their decision in choosing the perfect medical school for their needs. A total of 49 residents and 41 non-residents from a variety of schools including, Duke, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Case Western Reserve, UC-Berkeley, Ohio State, and many more, came to experience life on campus.
During their two days on campus, the students were invited to participate in a variety of activities, among them a tour of campus that included the Wexner Medical Center, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the newly expanded Clinical Skills Center, several OSU research facilities, and the new Ohio Union. They learned about support programs and student life opportunities offered by the college, met some of the college deans, faculty, staff and students, enjoyed a virtual tour of Columbus, and made an on-site vist to the Ohio Statehouse.
