John Christoforidis, M.D. Dr. Christoforidis joined the Havener Eye Institute as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmlogy with the Retina Division in October 2006. Before coming to the Havner Eye Institute, Dr. Christoforidis was on staff at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Ophthalmology at Havard Medical School. Dr. Christoforidis graduated with a B.A. from The Ohio State University and receved his M.D. at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Following his Internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, he completed his residency at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, MD and his Research Fellowship at the National Eye Institute’s Ophthalmic Genetics and Clinical Services Branch. Dr. Christoforidis went on to complete his Retina Research and Clinical Fellowships at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Prior to coming to Ohio State, he served as an attending physician at Harvard Medical School.
