The OSU College of Medicine Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and Office of Outreach & Engagement announce a grant opportunity for student organizations.
The AHEC College of Medicine Student Activities Grant supports community-based
projects targeting:
- underserved populations
- health prevention and promotion
- P-12 school programs
Three $1,000 grants will be awarded in 2011-12. Guidelines for the grant application can be found by clicking here.

Student organizations receiving AHEC Grants last year were:
- AMA Medical Student Section: 5K Run to Benefit the Physicians Free Clinic
- Special Needs Advocacy Group: "My Hands" Program for toddlers at the Childhood League Center
- Student National Medical Association: "Be the Change Health Fair" at the Southside Settlement House
