International Postdocs

Ohio State values its role in training and working with scholars from around the globe and is truly an international university. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is the central university office for postdocs who are foreign nationals. OIA handles immigration issues, helps new students and scholars acclimate to the university and the city, and coordinates programs for those coming from abroad to train at OSU. Postdocs can visit the International Scholars section of their site at http://oia.osu.edu/content/view/207/243/ for helpful information about visas and life in the United States and on campus.

See the Compensation section of this site for a general overview about compensation and taxes.

The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) is another helpful resource. Visit their International Postdoc section for a survival guide and news items.
