I welcome you to the Ohio State University Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry.

Our mission is to provide excellent patient care, residency training, and research opportunities. Mental health is an important aspect of everyone's lives, and when a loved one suffers from mental illness it can be difficult to accept, manage, and treat. In regards to patient care, we offer compassion, an excellent knowledge base, and social support as the mainstays of our biopsychosocial model for treatment. In medicine, the field of psychiatry is at an exciting time, continually evolving with new discoveries in the functions of the brain and new psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacological treatments emerging.
