Funding For Stem Cell Research Is Upheld
August 24, 2012 - (New York Times) - "A federal appeals court refused Friday to order the Obama administration to stop financing embryonic stem cell research. Opponents asserted that the National Institutes of Health was violating a 1996 law that prohibits taxpayer money for work that harms an embryo. The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld a lower court decision dismissing the case.
