Samuel J. Roessler Memorial Medical Scholarship

The Samuel J. Roessler Memorial Medical Scholarship Fund was established by Anna J. Roessler in memory of her son.  Awards are made to students at the College of Medicine for medical research at this institution and with OSU appointed faculty.

Students may pursue full-time research (40 hours per week) or part-time research (10 or 20 hours per week) during their curriculum as approved by their Academic Program Director. They may also apply for a leave of absence for up to one year to do research after speaking with the Roessler faculty advisor and having their application approved by the Roessler reviewers. All research must be supervised by faculty at the College of Medicine.  If a student is awarded a Roessler Scholarship, the money is processed through the College of Medicine’s Student Financial Services Office.  All applications must be accompanied by a letter of support from the student’s faculty research advisor and a carefully written protocol of the student’s research project.

The Roessler Scholarship Application for funding September - December 2009 has been CLOSED.
