The Medical Student Research Program, in conjunction with the College of Medicine and the Landacre Research Honor Society strive to host a variety of events that initiate and enhance quality research experiences. During each academic year, events highlighting research, funding and educational trainings will be announced here. Additionally, occasional announcements about regional and national conferences and symposiums where Medical Students are welcome to present their research will be posted.

November 15, 2011: Grant Writing Information Session, 12:30p-1:30p, 160 Meiling. Dr. Bumgardner and the Landacre Executive Board will present best practices and use examples to help you prepare writing your research grant or fellowship application.

October 17, 2011: Medical Student Research Opportunities Fair, 5p - 6:30p, 105 BRT. Faculty mentors and lab representatives will be available for medical students to discuss possible research projects. This annual event is the most successful place to find a project. Attendees and opportunity descriptions will be posted on the Current Research Opportunities webpage.

September 22, 2011: Research Opportunities Information Session, 12p-1:30p, 160 Meiling Hall. General overview of Medical Student Research from the Landacre Executive Board and Director Dr. Ginny L. Bumgardner.  Learn more about how to search for and find a research mentor and project.

September 19, 2011: Honorary Co​nsorium Reception, 6pm - 9pm, (location TBD). Join the Landacre Research Honor Society, AOA Honor Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society to learn more about each organization and membership criteria.
