Resources Available at Ohio State University

 

Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center: The Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center is located on the lower level of the John A. Prior Health Sciences Library. The Clinical Skills Center is a state-of-the-art training center for the simulation of patient care and assessment of learned clinical skills.

 

John A. Prior Health Sciences Library: The Health Sciences Library is located next to OSU Medical Center. The library offers computer access, study space, and many other resources. Physicians and residents can access informational databases such as MEDLINE, the Science Citation Index, and full-text Cochrane Reviews through Ovid. Residents can access required readings for classes through the Course Reserves section. By utilizing Core25 Resources, physicians and residents have access to the top 25 Health Journals, Biomedical Research Journals, Books, and Videos available at The Ohio State University. Hundreds more are accessible through the E-Journals and additional databases.

In addition to the Prior Health Sciences Library, The Ohio State University campus offers many academic libraries, including the Thompson Memorial Library located on the west end of the Oval. For a complete list of libraries at The Ohio State University, vist the University Libraries website.

 

Traffic and Parking: Members of OSUMC Housestaff are eligible for Faculty "A" Parking Permits.

 

Ohio State Recreation Sports: Ohio State has two of the best recreation facilities in the country, the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) and the Adventure Recreation Center (ARC). Additionally there are Jesse Owens Recreation Centers north and south and the Jesse Owens West Tennis Center. All five locations are designed to fit your needs and schedule. Activities and classes are offered for members to enjoy year round. Ohio State Faculty and Staff are offered discounted memberships through Rec Sports.
