v Dean Stone’s report
The student affairs members are going to be coming in to student council to keep us updated. They hired a new Academic Advisor: David Fuss
v President’s report
Ø Med I elections
§ Second anatomy exam 9/28/07
§ Vincent announcement prior to lecture sometime this week explaining roles/responsibilities of Student Council membership/Post Gross Toast responsibilities
§ Personal statements submitted by Tuesday 9/26/07
§ Election Friday 9/28/07 through Tuesday 10/2/07, run-off if needed prior to Friday 10/5/07
§ New members at 10/9/07 meeting

· There is talk of limiting med 4’s to two year long rotations
· The proposal to separate the psych and neuro exam was rejected
§ Fundraising
· $3799 from Alumni Game weekend, awesome
¨ They can sell the extra stuff from previous years

· The lock on the door is finally fixed
§ Community service
· Halloween something at childrens
· Habitat for Humanity
§ Professionalism council update
· They want to form a faculty Proffesionalism Council and A train the trainer to capicate those people teaching professionalism. They would like student leader involvment.
Ø Graduation acknowledgement of Brian Shaffer
§ Ideas were shared for how to acknowledge him with his graduating class.
Ø Webmaster
§ MedSell listserve almost ready to go, adding last of the members, roll out hopefully early next week
· The rules are being established and everyone will be included on the list and can opt out if they would like to not get selling emails.
§ The website is underconstruction and progressing well. Neil has more info.
Ø Rafting trip update
§ Forms are due this Friday
Ø Impact is going live on the internet on Friday: www.studentlifeassistance.com, account login osumed
Ø Call Room: The issue was discussed and will be taken care of by the class presidents.
