You have access to the status of your application 24/7 through a secure status page. What you see on your status page is the most up-to-date information and is also the status of your application as we know it.
Status Page Access:
- Login in to the Status Page, enter your AAMC ID number and password.
- The password formula is: the FIRST letter of your AAMC LEGAL FIRST NAME + the LAST 4 digits of your AAMC ID number + the LAST letter of your AAMC LEGAL LAST NAME + the FIRST 2 digits of your AAMC ID number.
Status Changes:
- You will receive an e-mail notifying you when your application status has changed.
- You will see what changed in the Application Status section. Specific information about your status is available by clicking on “View Your Status Details.”
- You are responsible for monitoring your reference letters through the AMCAS Letter Service. ALL reference letters must be submitted through the AMCAS letter system.
Status Page Actions that you can perform include:
- check your application status
- confirm an interview date (or request to reschedule a date)
- accept (or withdraw) an acceptance
- accept (or decline) an Admissions scholarship
Complete Application File - consists of your AMCAS application, the Ohio State secondary application, valid MCAT scores, and at least two academic reference letters. We do not notify you when your application is complete nor does your application status change to "complete".
File Review:
- File review occurs once the College of Medicine Admissions Office has received your AMCAS application, the Ohio State secondary application, and valid MCAT scores.
- Reference letters DO NOT need to be received for your file to be reviewed. They must be available through AMCAS prior to a scheduled interview.
