
The primary purpose of the interview is to identify those who will be able to deal compassionately and effectively with patients.
Our interviewers will explore your motivation for seeking a medical degree, understanding of the medical profession, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
Interview Process Overview:
- Files are reviewed and interview invitations are granted weekly.

- File review occurs upon receipt of your AMCAS application, the Ohio State secondary application, and valid MCAT scores.
- Reference letters DO NOT need to be received for your file to be reviewed. They must be available through the AMCAS Letter Service prior to a scheduled interview.
- Interviews occur on Monday and Wednesday from mid-September through March.
- If invited to interview, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that your status has changed.
- Interview day details (time, location, etc.) are on your status page “View Your Status Details.”
- Confirm (or request a different) interview date through your status page.
