[Video clips of students walking and biking on campus] Not only formally, there's a academic committee that's a part of our program with faculty that are in charge of wellness, and they incorporate events during intern retreats, resident retreats throughout the year, and also focus on wellness in the beginning of the year with orientation. [Images of students standing with a Brutus Buckeye statue and sharing meals together] There's also a resident-led wellness committee that organizes several events throughout the year and also weekly happy hours for residents to attend and enjoy together after work. [Video clips of Columbus including an aerial view, restaurants, acting, and a park] I feel like there's a really rich culture outside of the hospital that residents can partake in and find things that they like to do outside the hospital too. [Various video clips of restaurants and people in the Short North area of Columbus] [Aerial video clip of Columbus] Bajwa, MD, MBA: I think Columbus is a little bit of a hidden gem. [Video clips of outdoor activities and concerts] Oftentimes when people move, they find that we have a great art scene, we have a great music scene. There's so many opportunities for people to be involved outside of work and community activities that I think are really great. [Text on screen: Andrew Johns, MD] Andrew Johns, MD: I don't think there are many large academic medical center internal medicine resident programs out there that really allow the type of work-life-balance and strong academic opportunities that we have here. [Group pictures of individuals in Columbus] Here we have the opportunity to rotate on subspecialty services, to have one on one time with some of the experts in different fields of internal medicine, to be involved in important and meaningful research opportunities, and pursue mentorship relationships with faculty.
