I teach medical ethics and professionalism, so really trying to get medical students and trainees to understand how to uphold the dignity of the human person in their everyday practice. [Text on screen: Kartik K. Venkatesh, MD Excellence Award for Translational Science Research recipient] Kartik K. Venkatesh, MD: One of the things that I'm passionate about is being able to literally see patients in clinic and do research side by side, to be able to bring them the very best care, evidence-based care, and to learn together. Emily McCartney: If you think that there's somebody in your mind that would be a qualifying person to nominate, then you should nominate them. I think this gives a great platform for people to learn about other positions at the medical center, but also a good opportunity to shine a little bit of light on the people who are doing the good work. Debbie Pond: I hope they understand one person makes a difference. Carol R. Bradford, MD: Congratulations to each of our award recipients. We are extremely proud to honor and celebrate you as you pursue excellence in our tripartite mission and community service.
