Not only my physician colleagues but all of the team members, whether it is nursing in the operating room, my physician assistants on the floor, the nursing on the floor, my research team. We are all here to look to deliver the best care that we can provide for our patients.

Jennifer Sipos, MD: I truly enjoy being in an academic medical center because teaching is at the center of what we do every day.

And that includes teaching patients about their disease state, teaching young physicians and medical students about medicine in general, and how to care for the patient.

I find that teaching fellows is very rewarding because there's only so many patients that I can see in a given day, and if I'm educating the next generation of physicians to provide better care, then I'm indirectly helping additional patients beyond my reach.

Khan, MD: There was such an energy in the air when I interviewed that wasn't really replicated anywhere else. I remember telling my wife at that time that this is the place for us. And eight years later, I'm so happy that we made that decision and we came here.

Phieffer, MD: I came here because of the name recognition, the research, and the clinical expertise, but I'm staying here because of the colleagues and the type of collaboration that we have.

Khan, MD: I think from engagement with our professional community, to our visibility on the national scene, to the research endeavors that are taking place, the successes we're having with our patients, our community engagement. I just am excited to see what the next ten years hold for us.
