[Text on screen: Ken Washburn, MD Executive Director, Comprehensive Transplant Center Division Director, Transplant Surgery] Speaker Ken Washburn, MD: So there's a lot of cool things about the transplant program at Ohio State, and that's one reason I decided to come here fairly recently The people were a big draw to me. Just the unrealized potential to grow our clinical and research programs has really attracted me to come to Ohio State and be the leader of the program here. We really look for people that are going to complement and help us grow to achieve our mission in all three areas of research, education, and clinical care. So we really look for, kind of, core values in people, if they align with what the core values are of our organization. And some of those are integrity, honesty. We also want people that meet the bar in terms of their clinical performance. And most importantly, do you fit in well with the team of the people and providers that currently exist? Those are really important to us because we believe that in transplant medicine and surgery is delivered as a team and not as an individual.
