[Text on screen: Justine Kang-Chapman, MD Diagnostic Radiology Residency, Alumna] Justine Kang-Chapman, MD: I think Columbus is a great place to live. It's the 14th largest city in the US, it has a bustling downtown with a big restaurant scene and plenty to do, but still has a really family-friendly feel. It's also very affordable. We have a great craft beer scene, so if that's sort of your thing, there's all kinds of craft breweries all over Columbus, Ohio. There's all kinds of restaurants right around Italian Village, which is where I live, and over in the Short North area to keep you occupied for a long time. In addition to that, we've got beautiful springs, hot summers, nice falls, and not too bad winters. [Text on screen: Jack Scherer, MD Diagnostic Radiology, Chief Resident] Jack Scherer, MD: You're probably worried about where you live, how expensive where you live is going to be, and Columbus is certainly very affordable. It's affordable regardless of where you want to live. We have people who live downtown, we have people who live in the close, more urban suburbs of Columbus, and some people who've bought houses in some of our more outlying areas. But really, I think the options in Columbus are endless, and wherever you want to live, you'll have a chance to. [Series of panoramic videos showing the city of Columbus] It's an exciting city. There's a lot going on. There's a number of entertainment opportunities. There's events constantly from conventions that bring in a lot of people to town, concerts, shows. I think it's one of the best food cities I've ever been to. We have a great selection of restaurants. There's so many new restaurants you want to try, with a bunch of old, reliable spots you always want to go back to. And lastly, between Ohio State, the Blue Jackets, the Crew, the Clippersif—if you're a sports fan, there's pretty much something every day that you can go and watch and see. Gayou, MD: I think that one of the very unique opportunities that I have here in Columbus, Ohio, and as an employee of the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, is that we have the opportunity to be part of something more. Ohio State is already an elite institution, but unlike many other elite institutions, few of those institutions can say that over the course of the next ten years, they will be even bigger and better. Anywhere you go on the Ohio State campus, there's construction—building major buildings—hiring new faculty, new staff. There's really a very innovative and learning environment. Both Ohio State and Columbus, Ohio, are extremely exciting places to be—already fantastic places that are going to be even better in the next five to ten years. I think that few places can really say that. [Text on screen: The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center]
