Maddy Rosenthal: Hi, my name is Maddy Rosenthal, and I am one of the assistant professors of pulmonary and sleep medicine. I actually completed my sleep medicine fellowship here at OSU two years ago and decided to stay on as faculty for a number of reasons. First, I would say that the faculty and staff here at OSU have a very warm and collegial environment that was a great place for education. [Video on screen Maddy Rosenthal is sitting infront of a wall with a poster that says: Blonde But Not Forgotten Harland Miller. She is wearing a navy and white top that has a pattern of repeating circles and a tied knot in the middle.] Additionally, staying on its faculty, it has provided me with opportunities in research as well as to build a clinical niche. So, I currently am focusing on the sleep aspects associated with central sleep apnea and the nephrenic nerve stimulator. As well as I have a hybrid pulmonary and sleep clinic focusing on advanced non-invasive ventilation for respiratory diseases such as COPD or obesity hypoventilation syndrome. When talking about why else I wanted to stay at Ohio State, it was definitely because of the city of Columbus. If you're interested in having a big university feel with football and other collegiate sports, this is a great location. As well as if you like arts and culture, you'll experience bits of everything in the city of Columbus. So, I surely recommend Ohio State for your sleep medicine fellowship.
