[Text on screen: John J. Warner, MD CEO, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Executive Vice President, Ohio State] John J. Warner, MD: What excites me most about the Pelotonia Research Center is the geographic adjacency of all the different interdisciplinary scientific teams that will be working together. Mohler, PhD: Critical focus areas for this building will include cancer, heart disease, neurological disease, food security, artificial intelligence, gene and cell therapy, microbiome science, behavioral health, among many others. [Text on screen: Zihai Li, MD, PhD Founding Director Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Onocology] [Various video clips of the Pelotonia Research Center are shown] Zihai Li, MD, PhD: I'm very excited to be here, to collaborate with our fellow scientists, to collaborate with engineers, to collaborate with data scientists, to utilize artificial intelligence, machine learning, to really look at the immune system in a holistic way. [Text on screen: Amy Moore, MD Chair of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Ohio State Wexner Medical Center] Amy Moore, MD: This building is representative of what my future and what our potential is here. [Video clip of a lab space] And it is in this laboratory that we get to innovate and be on the field of what's going to be the next greatest thing for our patients. [Text on screen: Jonathan Song, PhD Co-Director Center for Cancer Engineering] [Video clips of various rooms in the new research center] Jonathan Song, PhD: I think it will be very exciting to have us all here within the same building, not only just on the same floor, but on different levels, to work together towards new, creative, and exciting solutions. [Text on screen: Thomas Hund, PhD Director Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute] Thomas Hund, PhD: My biggest hope for what will be generated in this building is breakthroughs that couldn't be possible anywhere else. [Text on screen: Doug Ulman CEO Pelotonia] Doug Ulman: We are so excited about the opening of the Pelotonia Research Center and the work that will take place in this facility, which will not only change and save the lives of so many people, but will inspire the community to get even more engaged in the Pelotonia mission. [Aerial view of the new Pelotonia Research Center] Li, MD, PhD: We are coming together to build this amazing facility to do first class science. Warner, MD: That's really special, to have that kind of connectivity with people that are working on similar things to you, or it maybe even different things than you. But to be that close to one another in that same vibrant ecosystem makes it really terrific. [A protein ribbon structure is shown] Mohler, PhD: Instead of cutting the ribbon, we are going to do what's called proteolysis of the protein ribbon structure. [laughter] Mohler, PhD: Three, two, one. [The protein ribbon structure shown on a large screen during the presentation is separated on each side leaving a gap in the middle] [applause] [Text on screen: Welcome to the Pelotonia Research Center] [Text on screen: THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY WEXNER MEDICAL CENTER The James THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER]
