Aaron Folsom, MD, '78, MPH, receives the 2012 Population Research Prize of the American Heart Association 

 

Aaron Folsom, MD, '78, MPH, was selected as the recipient of the 2012 Population Research Prize of the American Heart Association.  This Prize is awarded annually to one scientist in the US, for outstanding contributions to understanding cardiovascular disease at the population level.  Over 32 years, Dr. Folsom has helped to author more than 750 scientific publications on risk factors for heart attack, stroke, venous thrombosis (blood clots), and cancer.  He is currently a Professor of Epidemiology and Community Health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
