Resident Grad, Peter A. Grant, MD Serving as President of AANEM 

 

Dr. Peter A. Grant is currently serving as the President of The American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). He was selected in October of 2012 for the 2012 to 2013 term.
Dr. Grant attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and graduated in 1982. He completed additional training in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as electrodiagnostic (EDX) medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He has been practicing in Medford, OR, for 27 years and has offices in Grants Pass and Mount Shasta, CA. In addition, he has lectured extensively on the topics of carpal tunnel syndrome and generalized neuropathy and is considered a national expert in identifying and combating fraud and abuse in EDX medicine.
A member of AANEM since 1984, Dr. Grant has served on several committees including the Professional Practice, Finance, and Executive Committees and founded the EDX Laboratory Accreditation Committee. His other leadership experience includes service as the Secretary/Treasurer of the AANEM for three years. As president, he will lead the Board of Directors, which has responsibility for the association's strategic planning, policy creation, financial oversight, and executive director supervision.
