Ether Arts is Accepting Submissions from Medical Alumni

Ether Arts, the literary magazine of Ohio State’s College of Medicine, seeks submissions from the College’s alumni.  Fiction, nonfiction and poetry are welcome, as is visual art: drawings, cartoons, photography and paintings.  All subjects are appropriate and need not have a medical focus.  Ether Arts particularly welcomes art that examines physicians’ lives, challenges, and hopes, with a loose theme for inspiration of “A Day in the Life of a Physician.” The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2013. Learn more about how to submit here.

The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2013.  All entries should be submitted initially as attached files to ether.arts.magazine@gmail.com with a subject line of “Ether Arts Submission.”  Poetry and prose should be submitted in PDF.  Visual art should be submitted as TIFs, or in a raw photo format.  Editors will correspond with authors and artists whose pieces have been selected for publication to facilitate further formatting, proofing, and refinement. Ether Arts will award $25 gift cards to the creators of the top fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and visual arts pieces, and recognize the winners at a reception prior to its publication. Questions about the magazine or submissions may be directed to the above email address, or to the Med 2 editors Courtney Yong (Courtney.yong@osumc.edu) and Daniel Bercik (Daniel.bercik@osumc.edu).
