Lynn M. Cleary, MD, FACP Is local governor OF
NATIONAL DOCTORS’ GROUP
Term Began in April During American College of Physicians Annual Meeting
Orlando, Fl., (May 13, 2014)¾Lynn M. Cleary, MD, FACP is the Governor of the New York Upstate Chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the national organization of internists. Her term began during Internal Medicine 2014 - the ACP annual scientific meeting in Orlando, Fl.,April 10-12.
Governors are elected by local ACP members and serve four-year terms. Working with a local council, they supervise ACP chapter activities, appoint members to local committees, and preside at regional meetings. They also represent members by serving on the ACP Board of Governors.
A resident of Skaneateles, NY, Dr. Cleary is a Professor of Medicine and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Upstate Medical University. She is a Distinguished Teaching Professor of the State University of New York.
Dr. Cleary earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary, and her Medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Tufts New England Medical Center.
She has been a fellow of ACP since 1998. FACP is an honorary designation that recognizes ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine. The main areas of professional interest for Dr. Cleary include medical education and clinical decision-making.
