Submit Artistic Work by December 31

Ether Arts, the literary magazine of Ohio State’s College of Medicine, invites submissions from medical students and alumni. Fiction, nonfiction, and poetry are welcome, as is visual art including drawings, photography, and painting.  Work that reflects upon or examines issues of health and healing is welcome, but work need not have a medical focus.

The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2014.  All entries should be submitted initially as attached files to ether.arts.magazine@gmail.com with a subject line of “Ether Arts Submission"  and the following naming convention: "AuthorName_Year/Staff Position _Title."

Poetry and prose should be submitted in Word of PDF format with Times New Roman font, 12 point, single spaced.  Visual art should be submitted as TIFs, or in a raw photo format.

Editors will correspond with authors and artists whose pieces have been selected for publication to facilitate further formatting, proofing, and refinement. Ether Arts will award $25 gift cards to the creators of the top fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and visual arts pieces, and recognize the winners at a reception prior to its publication.

If you have questions or are interested in getting more involved in the editing and publishing process, email Jessica.rutsky@osumc.edu.
